गुरु पूर्णिमा के पावन अवसर पर रविवार को मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने ‘एक पेड़ मां के नाम’ अभियान के अंतर्गत अपनी माताजी के साथ पौधारोपण किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि जीवन में व्यक्ति की सबसे पहली गुरू मां ही हैं। ऐसे में मां के नाम पौधारोपण अभियान में शामिल होना किसी सौभाग्य से कम नहीं है।
कैनाल रोड स्थित गंगोत्री विहार में रिस्पना नदी के किनारे खाली भूमि पर मसूरी देहरादून विकास प्राधिकरण के तत्वावधान में रविवार को पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने अपनी माताजी बिशना देवी के नाम से पौधारोपण किया। इस अवसर पर उनकी माताजी भी मौजूद रहीं।
इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने ‘एक पेड़ माँ के नाम’ लगाने की देशवासियों से अपील की थी। राज्य में इसे अभियान के रूप में लिया गया है। मुख्यमंत्री ने सभी प्रदेशवासियों से आह्वाहन किया है कि इस मानसून सीजन में एक पेड़ माँ के नाम जरूर लगाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि सभी के जीवन में माँ पहली गुरु होती हैं। गुरु पूर्णिमा की भी उन्होंने प्रदेशवासियों को शुभकामना दी।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हरेला पर्व से 15 अगस्त तक राज्य में बृहद स्तर पर वृक्षारोपण अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। इस अभियान से सामाजिक संस्थाओं, पर्यावरण के क्षेत्र में कार्य करने वाले लोगों, स्वयं सहायता समूहों को भी जोड़ा गया है। राज्य से ग्राम पंचायत स्तर वृक्षारोपण अभियान चलाया जा रहा है।
इस अवसर पर एमडीडीए उपाध्यक्ष बंशीधर तिवारी ने कहा कि जिस भूमि पर यह पौधारोपण किया जा रहा है, यहां आने वाले दिनों में पार्क का निर्माण किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि प्रारम्भिक चरण में भूमि की चारों ओर से फेंसिंग कराई जाएगी ताकि जानवर पौधों को नुकसान न पहुँचा सकें। साथ ही यहाँ पर पैदल ट्रैक के निर्माण के साथ ही इस तरह के पौधों को लगाया जाए जिससे यहां बायो डाइवर्सिटी को भी बढ़ावा मिल सके। इस अवसर पर उपाध्यक्ष ने अपनी माताजी सावित्री देवी जी के नाम से भी पौधारोपण किया।
इस अवसर पर कैबिनेट मंत्री प्रेमचन्द अग्रवाल, गणेश जोशी, निवर्तमान मेयर सुनील उनियाल गामा, सचिव आर. मीनाक्षी सुंदरम, शैलेश बगोली ने भी पौधरोपण किया।
